Threes Program Class Curriculum
CPI’s primary goal in all classes is for our children to enjoy school and to have positive feelings about school and themselves. During the course of the year, CPI’s teachers will develop academic and social skills as defined by our school philosophy. Stories, finger plays, recognition of name, colors, body parts, visual memory activities.
Math
Recognizing numbers 1-10, developing one to one correspondence, counting to 20, sorting, recognition of right and left, calendar, shape recognition, puzzles.
Art and Music
Painting with all mediums, gluing, developing cutting skills, Play-Doh, coloring, free art, crafts.
Sensory: Play-Doh, sand, rice table, beans, corn, flour, snow, dirt, kinetic sand.
Music: Songs, rhymes, games, musical instruments, dances
Other Activities
Outdoor play, block play, housekeeping, science activities, show & tell, puppet play, gross motor activities, dramatic play, and manipulative toys.
In House Field Trips
Firefighter, police officer, dentist, Rescue Squad Puppet Show, taekwondo.
Student Evaluation
Student evaluations will be sent home once a year. The teacher is always available to discuss a child’s progress throughout the year.
Special Helper and Snack
The snack is provided each day by the participating parent (in the co-op class)
